Pray
Prayer in motion
Prayer doesn't have to be quiet and sitting still. Prayer can be many forms, in many ways. This year as we explore the Bible we will also explore different ways to pray. This month the K/1 kids sang a song with motions for their prayer. Pray this prayer with your children, or listen to your favorite song and dance to it.
For St. Augustine tells us, " He who sings, prays twice."
Take My Hands: (Sung to: This Old Man)
Take my hands (hold out hands)
Take my feet (point to feet)
Take my mouth, ears, nose, and eyes, (point to each body part)
And use them, God to do thy will.
I am yours in faith and love.
Amen

Learn
Each day there are many new things to learn. This year we will be learning more about that Bible. Here is a great article about ways to get started sharing the Bible with kids: The ABC's of teaching your kids to read the Bible.
Do
At Faith Formation each family was given a table tent meal prayer and table questions. Put this where you eat and take turns asking each other questions each day. Want more questions? Here are five more questions to add to the mix. Check back each month for new table questions.
1. How were you brave today ?
2. Tell me something you know today that you didn't know yesterday.
3. What was the hardest rule to follow today?
4. What did you like about your lunch?
5. What made you laugh today?
6. Add your own.
