Pray

Morning Prayer
Every morning, the Church celebrates Lauds, or Morning Prayer. This prayer invites us to put ourselves in the Lord's presence as the day dawns and to receive the new day as a new birth. Each new day, is a chance to thank God for our blessings and start again. Here is a prayer to pray together as you start your new day.

Prayer for a New Day
As the morning dawns,
we are here with you, Lord.

A new day is beginning...
a day you have given us.
Our eyes are shining,
our hands are moving,
our feet are dancing,
our ears are listening.

Filled with your love,
we jump into
this new day-
a day you have given us.
Amen

Learn

Did you have fun learning about the Jesus' ancestors during Faith Formation.  Would you like to learn more about them? Here is a great resource to learn more about the Jesse Tree and the ancestors of Jesus. What is something new you learned? Talk about it as a family.

Do

New Questions for Discussion at the Dinner Table
The dinner table is a great place to gather for a meal and share about each others day. Here are a few questions to get you started. What other questions would you add?
1. Was there any unkindness today? How did you respond?
2. What did you do that was creative?
3. What was the peak and the pit of your day?
4. What are you reading?
5. What do you hope to do during this school year?
